Previously I reviewed the Pretend & Play Post Office set from Learning Resources, so I already knew the products they offer are really well thought out and of excellent quality. I was very excited when the Snap-n-Learn Counting Elephants arrived and I couldn’t wait to show them to Beth.
Suitable for: 2-6 year olds
Number of elephants in a bucket: 10
Large elephants measure: 5.5cm
Learn colours

The Snap-n-Learn Counting Elephants from Learning Resources are a great way to teach colours by matching up the same colour elephants together. The elephants come in 5 bright colours and link up not only by the numbers but also by the colours on the elephants blanket – a purple elephant is followed by an elephant with a purple blanket.
Good size for little hands
Beth loves playing with the Snap-n-Learn Counting Elephants as they are just the right size for her little hands and elephants happen to be one of her favourite animals! She’s had great fun using them for imaginative play …. they’ve been a necklace, a train and lots of helping each other out of sticky situations hooking their trunks to their tails!!
Learn about sizes and numbers 1-10
At 2 1/2 the Snap-n-Learn Counting Elephants are perfect for Beth’s age as she is in to counting everything she can at the moment. I really like these as they are a very simple way for her to identify the numbers in a gentle and fun way. As well as colours and numbers the elephants can also be used to help identify sizes and distinguish between bigger and smaller.
Learning Resources Quality
The elephants are really well made and of excellent quality so I can see these lasting a long time. They also come in a handy storage bucket that’s clear plastic so they’re very visible on the toy shelf.
Where to buy:
The Snap-n-Learn Counting Elephants can be purchased directly from Learning Resources

Giraffes
Daisy’s favourite animals are lions – might have a lot to do with the fact that she watches Raa Raa the noisy little lion so often!
I’m always amazed how lions can be made ‘cuddly’ – they’re probably one of the laziest animals around until they get hungry then they are one of the most fearsome hunters! Lions must have someone working on creating excellent PR for them
Also, just to get this off my chest – would someone please tell the makers of Raa Raa that lions do not live in jungles? They live out on the plains of Africa. I say all of this to Daisy every day and she ignores me but then she is only 1 so I suppose it’s to be expected
my child is penguin mad!
