Who can resist exploring the outdoors when the autumn arrives, we may have said goodbye to the warm sunshine (??) but there is something so wonderful about a crisp autumn day that just draws you outside to hunt for conkers and collect a range of leaves in warm reds and oranges for autumn painting crafts … or pretending they are your bird feathers in Beth’s case. As long as she’s out getting fresh air and exploring, she is a very happy young lady.
We already have a little kit for looking at insects and have spotted a variety of birds in our garden over the summer so a pair of GeoSafari® Jr. Kidnoculars™ provided by Learning Resources was a perfect addition to get Beth interested in things that are a little bit further away.
Robust Binoculars for Kids
We have a lovely pair of old binoculars that Beth has been using under supervision out of the lounge window, but these Kidnoculars™ are brilliant because she can take them wherever she wants to and use them whenever she wants to all by herself.
There is a great flexible shield over the lenses because you just know that the only way to put binoculars down is face down on the large lenses – this stops any damage happening to them until they get to grips with how to put them down properly.
As they are easily accessible to Beth, she can use them for indoor games that she may be playing with Tree Fu Tom on a mission to save Tea Biscuit who needs to check out things a bit closer.
I think that’s what I like most about these Kidnoculars™ because they are useful as well as encouraging creativity in other areas where binoculars may not come in to play.
Easy To Use Kidnoculars™
They are simple in design, which is great, there is no focus dials or additional lenses – they are just as what you see. There is a great flexible eye shield so that their eye’s aren’t pressed up against the glass, which can hinder the view somewhat.
The zoom is enough to keep Beth interested in using them but isn’t going to be as far reaching as a pair of professional binoculars of course. But these are a great starter set of kids binoculars and would also be useful to take along to any christmas shows so they can have a good view of what is going on up there on the stage.
Where to Buy
You can get these great Kidnoculars™ directly from Learning Resources.
