The chance to review Skinade came at the perfect time for me … I literally felt like my skin needed a boost of some kind, it felt grey, dry and just generally dull in complexion! It didn’t seem to matter how much moisturiser I covered my face in each morning and night nothing seemed to make a difference.
What Is Skinade?
Skinade is a natural peach and mangosteen flavoured anti-ageing collagen drink that aims to look after your skin from the inside. It claims to improve the way your skin looks and feels in as little as 30 days.
It made me think of a conversation I had with my Dad over and over again as a teenager – he would repeatedly tell me that if I kept putting junk in to my body it wouldn’t help with the issues I had with my skin no matter how much I cleansed and moisturised, etc. at the time I disagreed with him entirely … of course I did, I was a teenager! It appears I may need to have a little chat with him, it seems he may have been a little bit ahead of his time with this one 🙂
How Does Skinade Work?
By drinking a daily dose, Skinade claims to increase collagen in the bloodstream by adding 7000mg of hydrolysed marine collagen from each bottle, but more importantly triggering the body’s own collagen production by firing up the fibroblasts – our own collagen factories. As it’s in liquid form it means your body doesn’t need to break down the solid consistency of a tablet or pill and so the drink can be absorbed immediately and our body makes use of a higher proportion of the active ingredients.
Skinade is packed full of high quality ingredients: Hydrolysed Marine collagen peptides, vitamin C, MSM, vitamin B complex, Omegas 3 & 6 and L-lysine.
What Does Skinade Taste Like?
I was ready to pinch my nose and drink it as quickly as possible visualising a green seaweed smelling liquid pouring out of the bottle, so I was pleasantly surprised to see a bright sunshine sweet smelling liquid filling my glass.
It is actually a really pleasant little drink, it reminded me of squash your nan makes for you that is just a little bit stronger that you would normally have but you don’t say anything because it’s actually quite nice. The main flavour I could taste was a gentle peachy taste.
How To Use Skinade
Skinade comes in full size bottles as well as travel pouches so completely convenient to take away with you as well as use every day at home.
You simply unscrew your bottle, pour and enjoy. If you’re going away then the travel pouches are like a concentrated version of the bottles so you just need to squeeze them in to a glass and add as much water as you’d like.
I wasn’t sure what to expect, but I noticed after just the 1st week that my skin didn’t feel as dry and grey as it had done. By the time I got to the end of the 2nd week I definitely noticed a general radiance that I haven’t had in a VERY long time to the extent that most mornings I would just moisturise as normal but not worry about applying any foundation / powder before dashing out of the house.
By the end of my course (4 weeks of full size bottles and 1 week of travel pouches) my skin definitely felt a million times better, radiant, hydrated and my fine lines didn’t seem to be so noticeable.
Where Can I Get Skinade?
I would definitely recommend trying Skinade, it is a little bit pricey but in my opinion it’s worth it!!
